Donegal darts players Dean Gallagher and Adrian Devine are set to compete in the PDC Qualifying School (Q-School) this week in Milton Keynes, aiming to secure coveted spots on the professional darts circuit.

Dean Gallagher, hailing from Bridgend, has recently garnered attention for his exceptional performance. In November 2024, he achieved his first nine-dart finish during the Amateur Darts Circuit (ADC) Finals in Ballymena, a feat celebrated by the local darts community.

Gallagher's impressive track record includes a notable run at the Irish Open Men 2024, where he reached the Last 16. He secured victories against formidable opponents, including a 4-0 win over Cian Fitzpatrick with an average of 93.94, before narrowly losing 3-4 to Marko Kantele.

Adrian Devine, known by his nickname "Butch," has been a prominent figure in the darts scene, representing Northern Ireland in various international tournaments. In March 2024, Devine clinched the Peter Leech Memorial Cup, showcasing his skill and determination.

Devine's recent performances include a strong showing at the WDF Europe Cup Men Singles 2024, where he advanced to the final after a series of impressive victories, ultimately finishing as runner-up.

The PDC Q-School presents a significant opportunity for both players to earn a PDC Tour Card, granting them entry into professional tournaments and the chance to compete against the world's elite darts players. The local darts community, including Donegal Darts, has expressed unwavering support for Gallagher and Devine, encouraging them to seize this opportunity and demonstrate their talents on the professional stage.
