In Pictures: Introducing the 1984 Donegal Sports Star Award winners 40 years on

The Donegal Sports Star Committee caught up with the winners of 40 years ago on Monday night in Letterkenny. These are the stories of the 1984 winners

Joyce McMullin - GAA

McMullin was a key member of the Tom Conaghan-managed Four Masters side that won their second senior championship title in the space of three years after defeating Ardara in the decider at MacCumhaill Park.

Indeed it was a hugely successful couple of years for McMullin having helped Donegal to that historic All-Ireland U-21 title in 1982 and the following year was on the county team that won the Ulster Senior Championship. 

McMullin eventually won an All-Star in 1990 and was a member of the first Donegal senior team to win the All-Ireland in 1992.
