Oisin Orr bagged a 33/1 winner at Newcastle at the weekend.

The Rathmullan jockey guided Showhound to victory in the seven-furlong handicap.

Trained by Richard Fahy, Showhound had half-a-length to spare on the 9/2 Streak Lightning, with Joanna Mason on board.

It was Showhound’s first win since August 2023 and certainly came as a jolt to punters.

Orr has had three wins so far in 2025.

In November, Orr won the Bahrain International Trophy on board the Alex Ferguson-owned Spirit Dancer.
