Oisin Orr was successful on Friday in Newcastle
There was joy for both Oisin Orr and Luke McAteer who landed big wins over the weekend at Newcastle and Dundalk respectively.
Orr delivered a well-timed ride aboard Our Dagger to secure victory in Newcastle on Friday, overcoming a slow start to finish cosily in front.
The 9-4 shot dwelt at the start and was held up at the rear of the field before making headway two furlongs out.

Still with plenty to do entering the final furlong, Orr switched his mount left and drove forward, moving into third in the closing strides. With a powerful late burst, Our Dagger surged past the leaders to hit the front in the final yards, securing a well-judged success.
For McAteer, the Rathmullan man produced a perfectly judged ride to claim victory aboard Nedita at Dundalk, timing his late challenge to perfection and getting up on the post.
Always prominent, McAteer kept Nedita well-positioned throughout before urging his mount forward inside the final furlong.
As the leaders battled for the line, he found an extra gear, driving his charge home with a strong late burst to edge ahead in the final strides and secure a thrilling victory just ahead of Elegant Madame in second.
