Collins to share his memories of beating Eubank 30 years on in Letterkenny

Steve Collins punches Chris Eubank during their WBO Super-Middleweight Title fight at Millstreet Arena, Cork, back in 1995

Thirty years on from one of the most famous nights in Irish boxing, the legendary Steve Collins will take to the stage in Letterkenny.

Peak Top Agency are hosting One Night in Millstreet 30th Anniversary - An Evening with Steve Collins - at the Mount Errigal Hotel on Sunday, March 16.

Dubliner Collins psyched out the then undefeated Chris Eubank in their WBO super-middleweight world title fight in 1995 at the  Green Glens Arena in Millstreet, Co Cork.

Collins was declared the winner by unanimous decision (115–111, 116–114, 114–113). Having employed Tony Quinn - EDUCO messianic Cult - as a hypnotist, Collins led people to believe he was hypnotised for the fight and unsettled Eubank to the point he considered withdrawing.

The St Patrick’s Knockout Weekend in Letterkenny is bound to attract a huge crowd, with both VIP tickets - priced at €59 which include meet and greet, finger food and reserved seating, and general admission at €28.50 - tickets available from EventBrite. On the night, the VIP check-in begins at 6:30pm ahead of the 7pm meet and greet with Collins. General Admission from 7:45pm with the how starting at 8pm.
