Finn Wheels 'Three Counties Sportive' will once again take place this Sunday

Finn Wheelers Cycling Club is looking forward to once again welcoming cyclists to their annual ‘Three Counties Sportive’, which rides off this Sunday, August 31. 

The 135km route takes riders through the scenic landscapes of Donegal, Fermanagh and Tyrone. The shorter 62km option crosses Donegal and Tyrone and is ideal for leisure cyclists, newcomers, or anyone seeking a more relaxed pace. Both routes showcase stunning scenery and cater for cyclists of all fitness levels.

The event will start and finish at Finn Valley College, Drumboe, Stranorlar (Eircode: F93 AE27). Registration is open from 8.30am to 9.15am, with cyclists departing at 9.30am sharp. Riders will leave via the Main Street of the Twin Towns, before heading towards McGroary’s Brae and Barnesmore Gap.

Pre-ride bike checks and servicing will be provided by John Grant of The Bike Mobile, both before the start and along the route. Castle Cycles from Raphoe will also be on hand with mechanical support throughout the event.

Both routes will be fully supported, with midpoint refreshments, and hot showers and food available afterwards for all participants.
