Erika Morrow has broken a World Record in the WJ15-16 Indoor Marathon Rowing on the Concept2 ergometer

The Loughros Point Rowing Club member broke not only the Irish, but also the World Record for the marathon distance of 42,195m, rowing in 3:06:23.

A huge amount of quiet work went into this. Long, tough hours, real grit, and staying the course when it wasn’t easy. That’s roughly 4,800 strokes, taken one at a time, with patience and heart all the way through.

She continues to shatter records across the country, setting an indoor 10k record time of 41:10.3 in the WJ15–16 age category.

Back in April, she set a new Irish record in the J16 category for the 60-minute row.

And Morrow also claimed gold at this year’s Irish Indoor Rowing Championships in the J15 1000m category.
