Conor Orr guided Screaming Colours to victory in the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter on Saturday.
Rathmullan man Orr won handsomely on the 12/1 shot, trained by William Durkan. It is the first Irish winner in the race for 15 years.
Orr had ten lengths on Young Dev, the 10/1 chance in second while Jonjo O’Neill’s Time To Get Up, the 11/4 favourite, was third.
“He's not the quickest horse in the world but he ran a blinder last year and we were confident today,” Orr said.

"Everything went very smoothly. It's nice to ride any winner but these big ones are what we do it all for. He's a real old fashioned jumps horse, he does nothing quickly but just keeps galloping. He has a big heart and wants to go and do it for you.”
Orr described the win as ’special’ and he goes again on Sunday aboard Envoi Pierji in the Ulster National at Downpatrick.
