Doherty, who rides with Four Masters Cycling Club, turned in a dominant performance.
The Donegal man pulled away and staved off Conor Grimes to win.
Doherty got off in a solo breakaway and claimed an excellent win.
The race, eight laps of a circuit of 5.67 miles, was for A4 and A4 cyclists and Doherty’s win now elevates him to A2 status.
