One Donegal Social Inclusion Week finished on the afternoon of Saturday last April 1, on a high with the Diversity Showcase in An Grianan Theatre. One Donegal Social Inclusion Week is an annual event and was an action packed, educational, and insightful week with opportunities for community and voluntary groups, services, and educators from right across the county to showcase the work they do.
The Diversity Showcase, with 20 different acts was received very well by a full An Grianan Theatre auditorium. The talent, variety and diversity shown was outstanding. The Diversity Showcase gave us poems, songs, drama and dances from all over the world.
Speaking at the Diversity Showcase, Director of Service, Michael McGarvey said; “I thank you, all the performers in the show for sharing your talents and providing us with a very entertaining show. Thank you to all the organisations that held events during the week for One Donegal Social Inclusion Week 2023. I also extend thanks to all the citizens that participated in the extensive range of events during the week, as society grows stronger when its citizens participate, and I would encourage everyone to take part in the various events organised around the county.”
