Gallery: Ballyshannon's Scoil Éirne celebrates its first 20 years

All Irish speaking primary school going from strength to strength

For many, it seems hard to believe that the Ballyshannon Irish Language National School - Gaelscoil Éirne - is celebrating 20 years in existence.
From the early days of local campaigning and public meetings, the school doors officially opened in September 2002 and has enriched numerous young people of the South Donegal and West Fermanagh region as they make their way through their primary learning cycle “trí gaeilge”.

The current enrolment of 37 students, along with teachers, staff, parents, and families, all enjoyed their special 20th birthday celebration on Tuesday.
