Rory Gallagher fans from all over the world got their first treat last night in Ballyshannon with the start of the four-day celebration of the music of the legendary blues guitarist, over the June Bank Holiday weekend. Please click on the arrows to go through the gallery
Events got underway with the Rory Gallagher Welcome Gig in the Rory Gallagher Theatre at the Abbey Arts Centre. The concert features Zac Schulze Gang, Aiden Pryor Band and Peter Price.
As well as attracting music fans in their droves, the festival is a circuit staple for renowned international acts, including American band Canned Heat.

Canned Heat are just one of the 30 acts to perform on 15 stages over the festival, now in its 20th edition. There will be gigs taking place in pubs and on the streets of Ballyshannon throughout the weekend.
Concerts in the Festival Big Top kick off today, Friday with the ever popular local man Johnny Gallagher and Boxtie followed by Albert Cummings, and Uli Jon Roth and his band.
Saturday night at the Big Top sees Pat McManus Band take to the stage, followed by Erja Lyytinen Band, and headline act Band of Friends.
Another treat for Rory fans is an intimate event taking place in the Abbey Arts Centre. Remembering Rory - Dave Fanning in conversation with Donal Gallagher, and My Taste of Rory with Chanele McGuinness takes place in The Rory Gallagher Theatre on Saturday, June 1 at 3pm.
