Participants carried shoes, school bags and toys to represent the lives of children lost in the conflict in Gaza in the last two years, in a moving ceremony held in Buncrana by the Inishowen Branch of the Irish Palestine Solidarity Campaign on Sunday.
The procession moved from the car park of the tourist office to Swan's Park.

“We came together on Sunday to honour all those who have died in the genocide in Gaza, which is now coming into its second year. It was a very moving experience for everyone who attended,” said spokesperson Miriam Killiney.
“We hope that the current peace talks are successful. However, we know that our humanitarian aims will not be achieved until Palestine gains self-determination and apartheid is dismantled,” she said.
