Martin McElhinney is a former Donegal GAA star from 2007 to 2019. A key midfielder, he was an integral part of the historic Donegal team that won the 2012 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship under manager Jim McGuinness, ending a 20-year wait for the Sam Maguire Cup. Known for his powerful running and athleticism, McElhinney remains a revered figure in Donegal GAA and still plays and co-manages his local club, St Michael’s, with Daniel McLaughlin.
