Cead McGrath named in Ireland U-15 squad for upcoming friendly internationals

Cead McGrath, centre, will be part of the Irish U-15 squad for their upcoming international friendlies against Wales.

Finn Harps underage prospect Cead McGrath has been named in the Republic of Ireland U-15 squad for a friendly double header with Wales in Bray this week. 

The Aghyaran man and his  young Boys in Green teammates will play Wales on Wednesday, March 1 and Friday, March 3 with both games taking place at The Carlisle Grounds. Each match kicks off at 12pm and it is free entry.

Ireland’s U-15s have produced some impressive performances this international campaign with highlights including a 1-0 away win in Poland and a 3-1 victory over an Australian side two years their senior. 

Republic of Ireland Men’s Under 15s Squad 

Goalkeepers: Alex Noonan (Shamrock Rovers), Ali Topcu (Shelbourne) 

Defenders: Oisin McDonagh (Shamrock Rovers), Cead McGrath (Finn Harps), Muhammad Oladiti (Shamrock Rovers), Ade Solanke (Shamrock Rovers), Sam Steward (St. Patrick’s Athletic) 

Midfielders: Daniel Costello (St. Patrick’s Athletic), Rory Finneran (Blackburn Rovers), Ramon Martos (Almeria), Grady McDonnell (Vancouver Whitecaps), Goodness Ogbonna (Shamrock Rovers), Finn Sherlock (Shelbourne) 

Forwards: Max Kovalevskis (Shamrock Rovers), Brody Lee (Shamrock Rovers), Michael Noonan (St. Patrick’s Athletic), Billy O’Neill (Bray Wanderers), Jaden Umeh (Cork City)
