Finn Harps manager Dave Rogers has offered to pay travel and match tickets for a young Bray Wanderers fan making his first trip to Finn Park.

Owen Ellis set off from Bray at 7am today to head for Finn Park, where Harps are hosting Bray Wanderers this evening in the First Division.

Owen's travel involves a train from Bray to Sligo and a subsequent bus to Ballybofey.

Replying to a tweet from Between The Stripes, Rogers said: “Proper dedication. Tell him to give me a shout and I will pay his match ticket and travel tickets. Enjoy the game.”

In a further show of generosity, Rogers has told the 1985 Seagulls, a Bray Wanderers supporters club, that they will be provided with hot food before embarking on their journey home.

Rogers said: “Rivalry is absolutely fine but looking after each other and allowing people to enjoy supporting their team especially traveling week in week out is what makes our league 'The Greatest League In The World'.”
