Erin Fildara McLaughlin of Peamount United was a goalscorer as Peamount United opened their SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division campaign with a win.
The Culdaff native scored her side's second goal in their 3-1 victory against Athlone Town at the Athlone Town Stadium in Westmeath.
McLaughlin tucked home on 38 minutes from a pullback by Sadhbh Doyle to put the Dubliner side 2-1 up after Kate Mooney had cancelled out an opener from Athlone's Chloe Singleton. Karen Duggan wrapped up the three points for Peamount with an 81st minute penalty.
