Carl McHugh and his ATK Mohun Bagan edged out defending champions Hyderabad FC 4-3 by way of a dramatic penalty shootout in the Indian Super League semi-final on Monday.
With both legs finishing 0-0 and with extra-time failing to separate the sides, ATK eventually won out 4-3, in front of 50,000 fans, at their home, Salt Lake City Stadium.
McHugh almost grabbed a winner right at the end of normal time but his glancing header flew just over the Hyderabad crossbar.
ATK will now face Bengaluru FC in the decider at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Saturday.
