Carl McHugh says his ATK Mohun Bagan are determined to make the most of their ISL final opportunity. 

McHugh’s ATK Mohun Bagan takes on Bengaluru FC later this afternoon with the side aiming for its first ever title. 

ATK edged out defending champions Hyderabad FC 4-3 by way of a dramatic penalty shootout in the Indian Super League semi-final last Monday.

With both legs finishing 0-0 and with extra-time failing to separate the sides, ATK eventually won out 4-3. McHugh says his team are going to have to take their chances this time out if they’re to get over the line. 

“We’re looking forward to it,” he said. “It’s a big game and we’re going to have to step up if we’re going to win the game. We created a lot of chances in both semi-final legs. That’s the main thing - I’d be more concerned if we weren’t creating those opportunities. 

“The other side of that is that it shows the strength of us defensively - we kept two clean sheets in both games. We have quality and goal scoring ability across the pitch”.
