Dave Rogers is staying cautious with Finn Harps' injuries.

Harps were without captain Keith Cowan, Cian Lynch and Kevin Jordan for Saturday's 2-2 draw with Cobh Ramblers at Finn Park.

While Daithi McCallion was on international duty with the Northern Ireland Under-19s, Cowan, Lynch and Jordan were absent due to injuries.

Harps have had Cowan's troublesome hamstring scanned again.

“He's not in a bad place with it, but it's not one where we will risk him and risk losing him,” Rogers said.

“He is influential, on the pitch and off it. Try telling a 37-year-old that he can't play. He wants to be out there and he's our leader.”

Rogers explained that Lynch was absent after feeling a 'twinge' in his knee. The Dublin's ailment was said to be 'nothing too serious' by the Harps boss.

Jordan was set to start, but pulled out of Thursday night's training session with a hip flexor issue.

Rogers said: “He's and honest boy and said: 'Gaffer, I don't wanna risk it'. He put the group before himself.”
