Scoil an Chaisil boys squad
The highly anticipated Primary School 5s competition returned to primary schools across the county during March and April, with over 80 schools participating in three sections.
More than 20 blitz days were played at various venues throughout the county, making for an exciting and engaging competition.
The Donegal county finals were held at Ballyare and Leckview Astro, home of Letterkenny Rovers. All three days of the finals featured impressive displays of dribbling, tricks, and amazing goals, and the competition was thoroughly enjoyed by all participating schools.
The Donegal FAIS Primary Committee extends a massive thank you to co-ordinators Shane Barr and Dessie McGlinchey for their excellent work in organising the blitzes.
The success of the competition relied heavily on the support of several clubs and volunteers, including Letterkenny Rovers, Ceiltigh Ghaoth Dobhair, and Eany Celtic, who generously provided their facilities free of charge.
The TY students of Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair, Finn Valley College, and St. Eunan’s College also deserve a huge thank you for refereeing the blitzes.
Congratulations to the girls of Scoil Cholmcille Kerrykeel, St. Patrick’s NS Lurgybrack, Gaelscoil Adhamhnáin, and to the boys of SN an Choimín, St. Eunan’s NS Raphoe and Scoil Cholmcille Letterkenny, who will be representing Donegal at the Ulster Finals in Aileach in May.
