Aaron McLaughlin penned his name into Finn Harps history with a goal at Markets Field in the 3-0 win over Treaty United.
Seventeen-year-old academy graduate McLaughlin, who celebrated his birthday on May 12, scored Harps; third goal three minutes into injury time with a fine individual goal, to break a club record in becoming their youngest goalscorer ever.
"He takes the record from Barry Patton (who also scored on his debut) in a 2-1 win against Kilkenny City at Buckley Park in Jan 1990 at the age of 17 years and 16 days," Joe Doherty tweeted.
McLaughlin added to two goals from Ryan Flood to give Dave Rogers' side a fine win in Limerick. Here's the teen's goal:
