Michael Harris has signed for NIFL Championship side Institute.
The Convoy native’s departure from Finn Harps was announced earlier this week, alongside Cian Lynch and Oisin Farrell.
The 20-year-old attacker has now been snapped up by new ‘Stute boss Kevin Deery.
“We are delighted to get an attacker of Michael’s calibre to the club,” Deery said.
“He will help us immensely this season. We have known him since he was 17 and he will excite our supporters.”
Harris penned a two-year deal with Harps in January having returned from a short spell with Colorado Rapids 2 in the United States and it appears as if he left Finn Park by mutual agreement rather than the involvement of a fee.
Before moving to America, Harris was on the books of Derry City.
At Harps, Harris played 20 games, but the first part of the 2023 season was a frustrating one that didn’t yield a goal and he will now look to help Institute to a promotion push under Deery.
