Finn Harps handed home tie in FAI Senior Cup

After a 1-0 win over Kilbarrack on Friday night, Finn Harps have been paired with another Leinster Senior League outfit in the second round of the competition

Finn Harps have been drawn at home to Skerries Town in the second round of the 2023 FAI Cup.

Max Hutchinson scored the only goal of the game on Friday as Harps defeated Kilbarrack 1-0 in Dublin.

Now, Dave Rogers’ Harps have been handed another tie against Leinster Senior League opposition.

Skerries are set to visit Finn Park on the weekend ending August 20.

Skerries finished fourth in the Leinster Senior League last season with Kilbarrack having been crowned champions.

The Dublin side defeated Portlaoise 3-0 in their opening round tie on Sunday. Robert McKenna scored twice and Josh Mullin bagged the third.

FAI Cup second round draw: Finn Harps v Skerries Town, Derry City v St Patrick’s Athletic, UCD v Galway United, Cork City v Waterford, St Patrick’s CYFC v Wexford FC, Bohemians v Rockmount, Kerry FC v Drogheda United, Bray Wanderers v Dundalk.
