Ireland captain Seamus Coleman.
Seamus Coleman has made a welcome return to full-time training at Everton but November’s Irish internationals against Holland and New Zealand will probably come around a little bit too soon for the former St Catherine’s man.
Everton boss Sean Dyche - whose side were defeated 2-0 in Saturday’s Merseyside derby - explained that while the Toffees are glad to have their skipper back involved on the training ground, he added they won’t rush him back into action too soon.
Coleman suffered a knee ligament strain six months ago against Leicester City. Speaking at the weekend, Dyche said: “Séamus is on the grass for the first time with us but he’s had one day. But he needs time after a long period out.”
Ireland take on Holland on November 18 in Amsterdam in their final Euro 2024 qualifier, before they host New Zealand three nights later in a Dublin friendly.
