Deele raced into a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Tom Mullan and Corey Lindsay but Adrian Nesbitt brought the home side back into it with an effort on the stroke of half-time.

There was very little between the two sides in the second period however Deele were more clinical with their opportunities and added to their lead with goals courtesy of Tom Mullan, Declan Lafferty and Jordy Duffy to seal the three points.

The visiting side got off to a perfect start in this contest, opening the scoring after just eight minutes. Conor McGurn found Mullan with a great through ball and the striker slid the ball past Corey Byrne into the net.

The Dunkineely men had a great chance to level the scoring on 18 minutes. Shaun White found Pauric Cunnigham with a pass but Cunnigham’s effort was hit straight at David Arthur.

After 27 minutes, Deele Harps doubled their advantage. Early substitute  Lindsay made a good run down the left wing and he slotted it low into the corner of the net to stretch his side’s lead.

On the stroke of half-time, the hosts halved the deficit. A great delivery was swung into the box by Jack Boyle and striker Nesbitt was on hand to accurately direct it into the goal.

This goal boosted the confidence of the Dunkineely outfit, who started the second stanza very brightly. Despite this promising start they were unable to find an equaliser and on 55 minutes, Deele Harps added a third.

A well-weighted ball from Duffy found the path of Mullan and he fired the ball low past Corey Byrne to give the visitors a cushion once again.

On the hour mark, Deele Harps found the net for a fourth time. A good team move concluded with the ball at the feet of midfielder Declan Lafferty and his effort found its way into the Dunkineely goal to leave them with a three-goal lead.

The hosts continued to battle until the end of the match and contested well in all areas, however they were unable to find the back of the net.

In the dying stages of the encounter, the traveling side added a fifth. A delivery from Lindsay across the face of goal found the feet of Duffy and the forward made no mistake in slotting the ball home.

Stephen Laird soon blew the full time whistle to mark a good afternoon for Damien Gallagher and his Deele Harps side.
