Castlefin Celtic FC members, coaches and academy players with Gerard Crawford, Circle K Castlefin Store Manager, and Shane Barr FAI Regional Officer
Circle K, Ireland’s leading forecourt and convenience retailer, and title sponsors of the FAI Club Mark Programme has announced that Castlefin Celtic FC has won €10,000, as part of the giveaway to grassroots football clubs.
Castlefin Celtic FC club members were given the good news by FAI Grassroots Director, Ger McDermott, and Circle K Ireland’s Retail Director of Operations Paul Dixon. Both men congratulated the club on their win, which came thanks to the support of club members and locals who entered on their behalf. The club was randomly selected from hundreds of clubs across Ireland, all of whom are still in with a chance to win the grand prize of €30,000.
Castlefin Celtic FC club representatives were presented with their €10,000 cheque at the club’s grounds by Brian Murphy, Store Manager at Circle K Express Castlefin.
“The Circle K FAI Club Mark scheme has been a great help to us in terms of ensuring good governance,” Anthony McCormick, Castlefin Celtic FC Chairman said, “We’re a tightknit club with an incredible member base, and we’re very grateful to those who nominated us for this competition from Circle K. We were over the moon to find out that we had won this prize, and we can guarantee it will be put to good use!”
The Circle K Grassroots Giveaway has seen €70,000 won by clubs across the Republic of Ireland to date.

An incredible amount of time and effort is dedicated by committed individuals to support grassroots football in Ireland.
