Everton skipper Seamus Coleman is in line for his first appearance of the 2023/24 season
Seamus Coleman will make his first Everton start in seven months in their Premier League clash against Newcastle United this evening.
The Republic of Ireland captain has not played since damaging ligaments on May 1 at Leicester. The Killybegs native had initial fears that he may have suffered an ACL rupture, which could have put his future with club and country in doubt. However, Coleman has recently lined out for Everton's U-21 side.
Coleman joined Everton in January 2009 from Sligo Rovers, where he had spent three seasons after being signed from his local side, St Catherine's, in the Donegal Leeague.
