Hollie Ferguson will be making her way to Central Wyoming College in August

Goalkeeper Hollie Ferguson from Buncrana has committed to joining Central Wyoming College this August to start her collegiate career with the Rustlers.

Her club Derry City took to social media to congratulate the young Donegal player saying: “Huge congratulations to the highly talented Hollie in signing for Central Wyoming College. All at Derry City wish you all the very best in your new adventure in the US.”

On Tuesday, Ferguson’s school Scoil Mhuire, Buncrana advanced to their second Cup final in-a-row following a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Presentation College, Athenry in Ray MacSharry Park, Sligo.

All this just comes 11 months after Ferguson, formerly of Buncrana Hearts, became a Scoil Mhuire Buncrana hero as she saved two penalties in the shoot-out to win the FAI Schools Senior Girls National Cup final at Gortakeegan in Monaghan.
