The anticipated match between Wexford and Finn Harps in the League of Ireland First Division is set to proceed as planned today.

Initial concerns regarding potential waterlogging at Ferrycarrig Park were alleviated following a thorough inspection at 7.45 am.

Expressing relief, Wexford issued a statement affirming the game's continuation:

"We are pleased to announce that the pitch has been deemed fit for play, ensuring tonight's match proceeds as scheduled!

"A commendation is due to our dedicated groundsman whose efforts, amidst heavy rainfall, ensured the game could proceed."

Kickoff is scheduled for 7.45 pm.

Finn Harps aim to rebound from their recent defeat to Cobh Ramblers and secure a victory in tonight's fixture.
