Erin McLaughlin scored a late winner as Peamount United defeated Wexford on Saturday evening.

The Culdaff woman struck from the penalty spot at PRL Park to give her side a 1-0 win in the Women's Premier Division.

McLaughlin bagged her second goal of the season having netted in the opening day's 2-0 win at Cork City.

At The showgrounds, Buncrana women Jodie Loughrey and Emma Doherty scored for Sligo Rovers, but they lost to early table-toppers Galway United.

A late penalty by Jenna Slatterty sealed a 3-2 win.
