Sean Boyd on target for Shelbourne
Former Finn Harps striker Sean Boyd was again on the mark for Premier Division leaders Shelbourne as his equaliser rescued a point at home to Drogheda United.
Frantz Pierrot had put the visitors in front from a header at Tolka Park, just three minutes in. However, on the hour mark Boyd was on hand to head home an Evan Caffrey freekick.
Boyd was also the man stepping up to the plate late on at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium last time out as his 89th minute equaliser also helped his side nick a point away to Derry City.
And despite a poor recent run of form - one win in nine games - Damien Duff’s men remain at the top of the league, one clear of the Candy Stripes.
