New Convoy Arsenal manager Johnny Doherty

Convoy Arsenal have announced Johnny Doherty as their new senior team manager for the 2024/25 season.

A former midfielder for the team, Doherty is already a huge part of the club, working as a youth team manager, as well as being involved with the U-14s and U-16s girls.

As a player, Doherty has won various competitions including Donegal Premier Leagues titles.

The new manager will name his backroom team over the coming weeks, as well as announcing details of when training will commence.

Welcoming the new senior boss to the club, Convoy Arsenal released a statement on social media saying: “Anyone that knows Johnny will know what knowledge and energy he brings to any team.

“The club would also like to say a massive thank you to Anthony Bogle for his services over the last few years and hopefully Anthony has plenty of playing days with us to come still.”

Convoy suffered relegation last season and will play in the Second Division next year.
