Gavin Gilmore with Finn Harps coach Eamon Curry
Winger Gavin Gilmore has signed for Finn Harps.
Gilmore has put pen to paper at Finn Park after a trial at the club.
Gilmore showed good glimpses during a friendly with Clifonville at Finn Park on Sunday – a game that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Gilmore, who came through the Galway United academy before moving to Athlone Town, has signed a short-term deal until the end of the season at Harps.
He was most recently with Athenry FC, his local club.
“I’m very happy to have Gavin on board,” Harps manager Darren Murphy said.
“He has impressed since coming into the club and did well in the Cliftonville friendly so we’re delighted he has signed now and I’m looking forward to working with him.
“He fits the profile of what we’re trying to do at the club, giving young, hungry players a platform to go out and play at this level. I’m sure our fans will give him a warm welcome.”
