The Buncrana Hearts squad that won the Ulster Junior Cup
Holders Buncrana Hearts have been handed a bye in the first round of the 2024/25 Ulster Junior Cup.
Gary Duffy's side are one of three teams to receive a bye with Aileach FC and Monaghan United also set to by-pass the opening round.
Letterkenny Rovers, last season's runners-up, have been handed a home game aganist Monaghan Town.
There is an all-Donegal League Premier Division clash between Kilmacrennan Celtic and Keadue Rovers while the meeting of the respective fishermen of Greencastle and St Catherine's at Chapel Lane looks a tasty tie.
FAI Junior Cup winners Cockhill Celtic will host Newtown Celtic from Cavan while Fanad United have been drawn away to Redcastle United.
Buncrana Hearts won last season's Ulster Junior Cup, defeating Letterkenny Rovers 7-6 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at the Diamond Park. Substitute goalkeeper Eoghan O'Doherty saved three penalties for the Castle Park men.
