Carl McHugh's FC Goa secured their first win of their Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 campaign as they edged past East Bengal FC 3-2 at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Friday, despite the Lettermacaward man being sent off.

Despite East Bengal’s best efforts, who have lost all three matches so far, FC Goa were buoyed by Borja Herrera’s sensational hat-trick on the night where he was awarded the Key Performer of the Match. McHugh picked up two yellows, the second of which came in the 81st minute.

In their three games to date, FC Goa have four points in the league and sit on five points, after already drawing one and losing one game. The club will welcome NorthEast United FC at home on October 4.
