There will be strong Donegal interest in the Women's FAI Cup final this weekend when the holders and current league champions Athlone Town take on last year's runners-up Shelbourne FC in Tallaght Stadium this Sunday.
Two Greencastle natives will be in opposite dugouts, with Kerry Brown, who transferred to the Midlanders from Sion Swifts last December will be on one team, while Roma McLaughlin, who moved from Fortuna Hjorring in the Danish top-tier league last January, will be representing Shelbourne.
Brown amassed over 70 appearances across two spells at Sion with a stint at Derry City in between, but it is unknown if she will be available for Sunday's clash having not featured in recent games for the club.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old McLaughlin had previously been associated with Shelbourne in 2017 and 2018 before embarking on a four-year stint in the United States, where she played for the university football team, the Blue Devils, at Central Connecticut State University.
During her time in the US, McLaughlin played a crucial role in the Blue Devils' success, contributing to four NEC championships.
She earned recognition as the NEC Midfielder of the Year twice and received a call-up in 2021 under Vera Pauw before moving back to Shelbourne last January.
