Harry Pearson (inset) had a big night as Coleraine won the North West Cup
St Johnston native Harry Pearson made his senior debut for Coleraine on Tuesday night as the Bannsiders won the North West Cup.
The 17-year-old Pearson, a goalkeeper, came on for Max Little as a youthful Coleraine won 3-2 on home soil at The Showgrounds to earn their first North West Cup success since 2012.
Sam McClintock gave Coleraine the lead before Dungloe native Paddy McGarvey, in goal for Ballinamallard, saved a penalty by Jamie McGonigle.
Goals by Richard Johnston and Joshua McIlwaine turned the tide to give the Mallards the advantage.
However, McClintock drew Coleraine level and, with penalties looming, Tiernan Brolly bagged a late winner with his first touc.
