Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair clinched the FAI Schools Senior ‘B’ Girls National Cup in Clones, thanks to a decisive early strike from Aoibhin Ní Chaiside to beat Coola 1-0.
The breakthrough came just ten minutes into the match when Ní Chaiside capitalised on a well-placed pass from Maryanne Nic a Bhaird, finishing clinically from close range.

Coola responded with a series of chances, coming closest through Orlaith Scanlon, who rattled the crossbar and forced a fine save from Gaoth Dobhair goalkeeper Roisin Ní Chasaide. Hayley Mullaney also struck the woodwork as Coola pushed for an equaliser, but the Donegal side remained resolute.
Despite sustained pressure, Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair’s defence held firm to secure a hard-fought 1-0 victory and lift the national title.
