Tim-Oliver Hiemer has left Finn Harps after two seasons in Donegal
Kerry FC have confirmed the signing of 30-year-old goalkeeper Tim-Oliver Hiemer from Finn Harps ahead of the 2025 SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division season.
The German shot-stopper joins the Kingdom side as manager Conor McCarthy’s tenth new addition to the squad, strengthening their options between the posts.
Hiemer brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent the past two seasons at Finn Harps in the First Division. During his time in Donegal, he made 45 appearances, keeping 13 clean sheets and playing a crucial role for the club.

Before his stint with Harps, Hiemer had a background in Germany, having been part of Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he primarily featured for the underage and reserve teams. He was also a member of the prestigious Nike Academy in 2016.
Reflecting on his move to Kerry, Hiemer shared his excitement about the fresh challenge, saying; “I am very happy to be here. The vision of the manager and the club interested me, and I’m excited to be a part of this project!”
Kerry FC manager Conor McCarthy expressed his delight at securing Hiemer's signature.
“We are delighted to have Tim-Oliver with us for the new season. We could see from his games against us that he is a top-quality goalkeeper, and it’s great to have someone of his calibre in the squad for the season ahead.
"We’ve got three very strong goalkeepers signed up now, and all competing in training. I’m looking forward to seeing Tim-Oliver’s addition to the group, and I have no doubt he will play a key role for us in 2025.”
Finn Harps will travel to Kerry for the opening round of the First Division on February 14.
