Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair have once again etched their name into the history books, clinching their third straight FAI Junior ‘B’ Boys National Cup following a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Coláiste an Phiarsaigh in Longford on Wednesday.

The Donegal side took the lead in the 26th minute when team captain Brian Mac Pháidin found the back of the net, putting his team in control.

They appeared destined for victory until deep into stoppage time when Evan Peelo stepped up to convert a last-gasp penalty for the Glanmire outfit, forcing the game into a tense conclusion.

With neither side able to break the deadlock in normal time, the match was decided by penalties. In a nerve-wracking shoot-out, Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair kept their composure, eventually emerging victorious with an 8-7 win.
