Cappry Rovers got their hands on the first piece of silverware this season with a dominant 4-0 win over Castlefinn Celtic in the U-14 Division 1 League Cup Final.

From the first whistle, Cappry took control of the game, pressing high and creating early chances.

Castlefinn defended in numbers, clearing wave after wave of attacks, but the pressure eventually told. A slick move through the middle and out wide found Caolan Roarty, who kept his composure to fire low into the bottom corner for the opening goal.

Cappry continued to push forward, and their patience was rewarded again before the break when Oisín Brown found the net with a tidy finish, giving Cappry a well-deserved 2-0 lead at half-time.

The second half picked up where the first left off, with Cappry in control and winger Jake Patton proving a constant threat down the left flank.

He made it 3-0 after latching onto a superb ball over the top from Peter Gallagher, bursting past his marker and calmly finishing.

Patton wasn’t done yet. Another incisive pass, this time from Ben Thorpe through the middle, set him through again, and he made no mistake, slotting home his second and Cappry’s fourth of the day.

It was a complete team performance from Cappry, with every player from 1 to 20 contributing to the win. Jake Patton earned the Player of the Match award for his outstanding attacking display
