Fanad United confirmed a third-placed finish at least in the Donegal League Premier Division with Eddie O'Reilly bagging a hat-trick against Rathmullan Celtic in a 7-0 win last night.
Arthur Lynch's team were 2-0 up at half-time thanks to a brace from Keelin McElwaine on 30 and 42 minutes at Traigh-a-Loch. O'Reilly added second-half goals on the 60th, 63rd and 90th minutes, with Adam Carr also scoring twice, in the 65th and 75th minutes.

The result means that Fanad, champions in both the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, are guaranteed at least third place, two points behind Bonagee United, who still have Keadue Rovers to play in the last of their league fixtures, in second and winners Letterkenny Rovers.
Fanad are due to play Letterkenny Rovers in the last league fixture next Thursday, May 1, and take on Leicester Celtic in the FAI Cup on Sunday, May 17. The loss in Fanad is Rathmullan's 17th from 17 this season, and they are due to play away to Gweedore Celtic on Sunday.
