FC Goa celebrate and, inset, McHugh in action in the final
Carl McHugh helped pull the strings as FC Goa lifted the 2025 Kalinga Super Cup after a dominant 3-0 win against Jamshedpur FC in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
The win marks the Gaurs' second title in the competition, making them the first team in India to win the domestic cup twice.
Borja Gonzalez was the star of the night, scoring a brace (23’, 51’) before Dejan Drazic (72’) sealed the result at the Kalinga Stadium.
The victory also secures FC Goa a spot in the AFC Champions League 2 (ACL2) Playoffs, returning to continental football after four years. FC Goa had previously won the title in 2019.

Jamshedpur had started brightly with Javier Hernández testing Hrithik Tiwari early, but Goa soon took control.
Aakash Sangwan’s run and shot led to Borja’s opener after Gomes parried the initial effort. Just before the break, JFC’s Lazar Cirkovic hit the bar, but their attacking threat remained limited.
Borja doubled the lead with a stunning long-range strike early in the second half. Despite chances for Javier Siverio and Jordan Murray, JFC couldn't capitalise.
Goa’s third was a display of composure and quality as Lettermacaward native McHugh's through ball found Drazic, who rounded the keeper and slotted home.
