Scoil Mhuire's first year boys U14 soccer team will play in the FAI schools national cup semi-final on Thursday 15 May when they travel to Monaghan to take on Scoil Dara from Kilcock in County Kildare.
Managed by David McLaughlin and Emmet McCauley, Scoil Mhuire defeated Moville Community College after a penalty shoot out in the Ulster final at the end of March.
Danny Friel got Scoil Mhuire's only goal in that game, and when it came to penalties at the end goalkeeper Cianan Wallace saved twice with Jack Lynch converting the winning kick.

The winners of Thursday's semi-final will advance to the national decider where they'll play the winners of other semi-final which sees St Flannan's College, Ennis take on St Jarlath's from Tuam.
Scoil Mhuire's game will be played at Gortakeegan on Thursday and has a 1pm kick-off.
