The Convoy man was previously at Finn Harps and Institute but joins the Derry side who were chasing promotion to the top tier this season

Michael Harris who joined Limavady United this week

Michael Harris has signed for Limavady United in the NIFL Championship for the upcoming season.

The Convoy man was most recently at Institute in the same division as he helped the Derry side to seventh in the league.

The 22-year-old, who played for Finn Harps in 2023, joins the Lims who narrowly missed out on promotion as they came third in the second tier, five points behind Annagh United who lost out in the promotion/relegation play-off to Carrick Rangers.

Manager Paul Owens said on the acquisition: “I’m delighted to welcome Michael to the club, I feel Michael is one of the most exciting young forwards in the league. He has great pace, an eye for goal and can play anywhere across the front line. We are really excited to see what he can add to the team”
