Donegal were defeated by an impressive Cork side in the final of the SFAI Inter-League Cup in Kilkenny on Sunday.

At the home of Evergreen FC, Cork took the lead through Cian McMahon and they soon made it 2-0 as McMahon set up Caine Wolfe.

McMahon got his second and a third for the Munster side to confirm the win.

Donegal topped their group with wins over Inishowen, Lisburn-Castlereagh and East Belfast while they drew with Cavan-Monaghan.

In the knock-out phase, Paddy McNulty's side beat Mayo 1-0 in a quarter-final before a nail-biting 4-3 penalty shoot-out win over Waterford following a 1-1 draw after extra time in Mullingar.
