Three Donegal men travelling to Italy for the European Down Syndrome Futsal Championship have been given a funding boost by members of the Bluestack Challenge committee.

Donegal Town native David Crawford, along with Hughie Sweeney from Gweedore and Daniel O’Reilly from Letterkenny will travel to Italy next month to represent Ireland in Ferrera from June 15-21.

The three futsal stars were joined by their parents and members of the Bluestack Challenge committee at Blas Gateway Lodge, where they received a donation to support their funding.

On behalf of their many fundraising hill walkers, the Bluestack Challenge committee was delighted to be able to contribute €1,000 to help support the Co. Donegal team players on their upcoming trip, which is primarily self-funded.
