Swilly Rovers begin new chapter with Ben Reuven as manager

Swilly Rovers will begin next season under the management of Ben Reuven in the TDA Division One.

The Ramelton side were relegated in their second season back in the Premier Division with Damien Friel in charge for a season, finishing ninth.

Reuven has has experience at local, national and international level.

The club announced the manager earlier in the week, stating: "We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Reuven as the new manager of our senior men’s team.


"Ben brings a wealth of experience from across the Irish football scene, having held key roles at clubs such as Ballyraine FC, Midleton FC, and Finn Harps FC. With a UEFA C Licence and specialist expertise in goalkeeping, scouting, and video analysis, he offers a modern, structured, and high-tempo approach to football management.


"Currently serving as Director of Football at Ballyraine FC, Ben has led club-wide development, launched coaching and goalkeeper programmes, and driven player-centred strategies focused on accountability and teamwork. His coaching journey has seen him lead both adult and academy sides, with a strong focus on building intelligent, self-thinking teams who play with purpose and intensity.

"Ben is also highly regarded for his work in opposition and talent scouting, having contributed to senior setups at Finn Harps FC and Odense BK in Denmark.
