The victorious Carndonagh Under-19s
Donegal teams tasted plenty of success at the 2025 Foyle Cup with a number of winning teams in their respective finals.
On Thursday, the Donegal Women's League won a closely contested U12 Foyle Cup final against Cappry Rovers.
Fia Ham scored the only goal of the game early on to seal the win after 3-2 and 1-0 wins in the semi-final and quarter final against Maiden City and Ballymoney, respectively.
In the U13 Girls section, it was penalty heartbreak for the Donegal Colts as they lost 9-8 on penalties to Lisbellaw after a 1-1 draw, Jorjamae McGroarty hitting the net for the Donegal side.
Core Soccer Academy took the title in the U10 Boys section on Friday, defeating Portadown 1-0 in the final. Rian McLaughlin scored the only goal of the game, while he also bagged a brace in the semi-final win over Glentoran as they won 2-1.
Carndonagh were worthy winners in the U19 section as they won 3-0 over Beragh Swifts in the decider.
Mark Doherty, Ciaran O’Kane and Shay Harkin hit the goals for the Inishowen men.
Saturday was a big day for the Donegal Underage League, with three teams in the finals.
It wasn’t to be for the U14s and the U16s, who both lost 2-1 to Partick Thistle and Club Mercedarios respectively, but the U13 side impressed to win 3-0 against Newell FC.
